Spring has finally arrived! Flowers are starting to bloom, and the weather is slowly becoming warmer. From sweaters to t-shirts, from sweatpants to shorts, and from boots to flip flops, the new spring season signals a big change in your wardrobe. Every year, there seems to be new trends in fashion, like certain color schemes or patterns. Thus, to ensure that you are caught up with the latest trends, these are the five hottest spring fashion trends for 2021. These ideas should provide you with some sort of inspiration to help spruce up your closet this spring season!
- Basic Maxi Dresses
Maxi dresses are known for being stylish, but also super comfy at the same time. They are usually floor or ankle-length, and they are made from breathable fabric, like cotton. Maxi dresses have become very popular as they can accentuate any body type. I am definitely going to add these dresses to my wardrobe this spring as they are free-flowing, fun, and comfortable. They will be perfect for events where you have to dress up, but still stick to a casual theme.
- Color Palette: Bubblegum Pink, Lime Green, and Tangerine
Bubblegum pink, lime green, and tangerine are some of the trendiest colors this spring. These colors are neon, vibrant, and super fun. Adding these colors to your wardrobe can really get you into the spring mood! Additionally, these colors will fit basically every skin type. I can guarantee that they will make you stand out in the crowd. You can even try mixing and matching colors to find a color scheme that suits you.
- Relaxed Trousers
Ever since quarantine, I feel like we have all been living in sweatshirts and sweatpants. However, to elevate your wardrobe, instead of wearing sweatpants 24/7, a great replacement for them are these relaxed trousers. By wearing these, you can look both fashionable and chic, but still feel comfortable at the same time. In 2021, trends are slowly shifting from tight skinny jeans to more loosely-fitted bottoms. Relaxed trousers will definitely fit this category.
- Floral Patterns
A very common trend around springtime is floral patterns. Flowers always make you think of the spring season, and they can also represent new beginnings. Many designers this year are actually mixing floral patterns from head-to-toe. Floral patterns are always a safe bet and you can never go wrong with them. For me, they are an essential item to any spring wardrobe, so they will probably not go out of trend anytime soon.
- Oversized Shoulder Pad Boyfriend Jackets
Tons of celebrities are rocking this 80s-inspired trend right now. You can create a long line silhouette, cinch in your waist, and elongate your legs with this stylish jacket. It is basically like a 3-in-1! Also, you have the freedom to choose how you pair this jacket with other pieces of clothing. You can either dress this up or down for a modern and chic aesthetic. The shoulder pads make this jacket unique and have allowed it to gain popularity as a result.
