Boy’s Winter Track is Poised for Greatness

by Justin Tisch

The 2015-2016 Winter Track team is poised to run for greatness. Led by New York State sprinting finalist, Blair Braxton, East currently has a loaded sprinting lineup which consists of Reid Barkoff, Mitchell Siegel, Chapelle Wray, Chris Cook, and Seth Garvin. With Coach Kirwin at the helm, this sprinting squad should be an absolute force to be reckoned with in the team relays! The HSE distance team, under the supervision of Coach Gumbus, is aiming to fill the large shoes left by the previous senior group. Perhaps the largest aperture comes at the hurdles where Daniel Siegel must fill the gap left by two-time New York State Finalist, Sam Chimezie. Lastly, junior James Haddad will be atop the list of young shot-putters on the Hills East team, showing East’s depth and youth as we head into this much anticipated winter season.
