World Language Day

By: Giulia Femia

March 6, 2023 was the first ever World Language Day at High school East. Here, Chinese, Italian, Spanish, French, and American sign language were utilized to educate students on the various cultural aspects of each nation, highlighting the importance of learning a foreign language. Each language had a table displaying numerous culturally-representative activities. After completing the activity, many students received some sort of reward representing each culture. According to student feedback, many found this event to be both educational and entertaining, and they are eager to see this tradition continue over the years.
