It’s Time to Upgrade to AirPods Pro

By: Madison Schioppo

When Apple released the second generation of AirPods, the well known wireless Bluetooth earbuds, customers went crazy over the new device. They look just like wired earbuds but have the ability to do many things such as long talk time and voice-activated Siri access without having to be connected physically to your device. AirPods deliver an unparalleled wireless headphone experience. Simply take them out, and they’re ready to use with all your devices. Put them in your ears, and they connect immediately, immersing you in rich, high-quality sound. It’s no wonder that Apple drew the attention of many when they released the new AirPods Pro. The first thing people recognized with this newest release was the more rectangular shape and the drastic price increase, going from about $160 to $250 for the Pros.

So, what is actually special or different about AirPod Pros? Apple refined the details of comfort, with a customizable fit that forms an exceptional seal for active noise cancellation, so that a user should only feel their music, not their headphones. By customizing your product, you are able to choose from three sizes of soft, flexible silicone tips that click into place. To find the perfect fit in order to ensure you are getting the best sound, you can take the “Ear Tip Fit Test.” These internally tapered tips conform to your ear shape, keeping them secure. With vents helping equalize pressure, you feel like there’s nothing in your ears. The device contains both inward and outward-facing microphones that detect unwanted sounds and eliminates them with anti-noise. However, if you would like to hear what is occurring around you, there is a way to jump between “Active Noise Cancellation” and “Transparency mode,” which lets outside sound in and allows things to sound and feel natural when you’re talking to people nearby. Another pro (no pun intended) to these AirPods is that they are sweat and water-resistant, and they contain an expanded mesh microphone port that improves the clarity of calls in windy situations. With the included wireless charging case, you can charge on the go as well. Apple really catered to its customers with this new rendition of AirPods. The new characteristics and features enable customers to experience sound like never before.
