The Cybertruck by Tesla is one of its newest, most anticipated products. Unlike other, more traditional pickup trucks, there are some amazing features in the Cybertruck, such as a low center of gravity to enable acceleration from 0 to 60mph in 2.9 seconds. The Cybertruck is an electric pickup truck built with Tesla Armor Glass. According to Tesla, the glass is “Ultra-strong glass and polymer-layered composite can absorb and redirect impact force for improved performance and damage tolerance.” When the glass was hit with a sledgehammer, there was not a single mark or a crack left behind. However, when a steel ball was tossed into the window, there was evidence of cracking. This was a very awkward moment for Elon Musk, the CEO of Tesla, who had to continue the presentation with two cracks in the “unbreakable glass” of the Cybertruck. Elon Musk commented that the “sledgehammer impact on the door cracked the base of the glass, which is why steel ball didn’t bounce off. We should have done the steel ball on window, *then* sledgehammer the door.” Either way, they are advertising unbreakable glass, and that is what consumers are expecting. They Cybertruck is very close to being ready for widespread release, but Tesla says that they will be fixing the glass first, so it lives up to their expectations and their reputation.
